ACU-TEMP was started in 1984 by Jim Gengler. Jim, a graduate of Lakeland High School, attended Traviss Technical Center where he received training for his career in the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration field. After completing Traviss, Jim worked for SEARS as an Air Conditioning and Refrigeration service technician for 10 years.
From there he started ACU-TEMP Refrigeration Inc. in Lakeland. Since 1984 ACU-TEMP has been involved in servicing the community with friendly and knowledgeable technicians. They are a true family owned and operated business.
Jim’s two sons have been raised in the family business since they were old enough to carry a wrench. Aaron manages the commercial side of the business, while Justin manages the residential side.
All of the staff at ACU-TEMP is highly trained and very knowledgeable in their field of expertise, always striving to exceed the customers’ expectations. Being an honest and trustworthy company, ACU-TEMP has grown from a one man operation to one of Polk County’s larger Air Conditioning and Heating contractors.
